Abstract

The aim of this stuıdy is to determine the effect of microbial fertilizer containing Bacillus spp. and organic fertilizer applications on the nutritional status and yield of lettuce plant (Lactuca sativa L.) in limy alkaline soils. The research was carried out with the “Maritima” lettuce variety in the Tire region of Izmir. Microbial fertilizer containing Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefacien, Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus pumilis from the group of phosphorus-solving bacteria in the trial; 100 g da-1 with 100 liters of water and 100 g of organic fertilizer and 100 g da-1 were applied before planting seedlings in 2 different ways. In the trial, the highest yield was obtained in parcels where microbial fertilizer is applied in combination with organic fertilizer. It has been determined that the applications have a statistically significant effect on leaf and root P content and leaf N, Ca, Mg, Fe and Zn content. It was observed that microbial fertilizer applied to calcareous alkaline soil increased plant growth parameters and yield. This showed that the application of microbial fertilizers, especially with organic fertilizers, increased the effectiveness of phosphorus and chemical fertilizers in the soil.
